  • Zenith Bank Listed on London Stock Exchange

    Zenith Bank PlcZenith Bank Nigeria has listed $850 million worth of its ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange as global depository receipts (GDRs) at $6.80 apiece.

    One GDR represents 50 ordinary shares, the bank said, adding that JP Morgan is the depository bank, while Citi is the custodian. It listed 125,000,000 units of the receipts.

    A statement released by her Special Assistant on Media, Joe Obi, the Minister said the decision to lift the suspension of Dana operation was taken after a meeting between the management of the airline and federal aviation authority.

  • Nigeria Suspends Dana Air Again

    dana-airThe Nigerian Civil Aviation Authorities has suspended operations of Dana Air, an Indian-owned commercial passenger carrier, after the country's parliament complained of its shoddy manner of paying compensations to victims of a crash last year that left nearly 200 people dead.

    In June last year, a Dana MD-83 aircraft had crashed in Lagos while flying from Abuja, killing more than 160 people.
